英訳テスト - 結果

compared to 「～と比較した場合は」
海外で暮らしたことがないので実感がないのだけど、最近思うことは、

パンとコーヒー大好きな私は、市場の動きが気になります。
○ He dropped his accent to be an actor.
lose one's accent とも。
hide one's accent なら状況に応じて上手く方言をつかえそうだ。
○ Citizens in some countries are required to perform military service.
service 単独でも「兵役」の意味あり。
○ Joining the ice hockey team taught me discipline but also cost me two broken arms.
discipline　スペルがいつまでたっても覚えられない単語。公私共にアバウトに生きていると、日本語に訳されても縁遠い言葉。規律とか鍛錬とか...。
○ The government is proposing to make the entire island a national park.
propose 「提案する・推薦する」
To review energy policy, many ideas are proposed in Japan.
夏の電気需要をいかに乗り越えるかを個人でも考えなきゃだ。誰か低コスト大容量の電池を開発してくれないかな？

suffer from 病名。医療分野のニュースでは頻発。
○ I like the colors of the painting but I am not sure what it is trying to say.
whta it is trying to say 「何を言おうとしているのか」「何を表現したいのか」
