pregnant 「妊娠して」が直接的すぎると感じたときには、expecting を使う。

what I call... 直訳「私が・・・と呼ぶところの」 ここでは「まさしく・・・」と太鼓判を押すような感じ。

「have+名詞+-ed形(過去分詞)」のパターン
「…を盗まれる/壊される/取られる」という、被害を表す表現が一番多いとのこと。

誰かに髪を切ってもらう場合の「髪を切る」は have one's hair cut。

「have+名詞+形容詞」のパターン 高頻度なのは ready :「準備ができる」という意味で使う。

「have+名詞+DOing」のパターンでは、笑ったり泣いたりを表す単語がよくくる。

have+名詞の後に open, close といった状況を表す語がきて、「その状態にしておく」という意味。
英作文♪ be called で思い出した「ジ・オむすび」。
I saw a rice ball in today's news paper.
Shimabara tourism board developed it, in the image of Mount Unzen(Unzendake).
It's called "ジ・オむすび"(gi-o-mu-su-bi). It's double entente, "the Omusubi" and "geo-Musubi."
Musubi or Omusubi is called "Rice ball" in English.
日本のものを英語で書くのは、かなり高いハードル。がんばれ私。
そりゃ「お江展」開催中だった長浜城は、中学男子にはツライものがあるかもしれません。
