Careful! Your bag is open, and someone might steal your wallet.
Oh, thanks. I didn't know it was open.
Well, this area is pretty safe. but you never know, right?
Right. You can never be too cafeful.
Are you new this condo?
Actually I am.nI'm Takeshi and I just moved in here.
Oh, maybe you haven't heard of me yet. I am the famous " Free
Advice Francis."
Hi, Francis. What a pleasure to meet you.
So... Where did you move here from?
I came all the way from Japan, actually.
Oh, Japan. Actually, we had a lovely person from Japan before.
But there was a little problem with a laundry. Can you guess
what happened?
Laundry? Hmm... I have no idea. What happened?
Well, she hang her laundry from the window. I saw towels,
sheets, blankets...but we're not allow to hang anything out
of the windows.
Oh, got it. In the U.S., almost everyone uses a dryer
I've heard.
Acutally, there are only two washing machines and dryers in
the basement. Sometime it gets crowded. I always go first
thing in the morning around six. Are you an early riser?
More or less. I'll try to join you sometime.
OK, let me tell you some other condo rules. We recycle, so
put plastics, glass, and metals in the proper recycle bins.
Have you seen the recycle bins?
Yes... I think I'll be fine. We recycle all the time in
Japan.
Oh, there are a lot of things. Do you have the condo handbook?
I can go get one if you need a copy.
That would be great. And thanks for the tips!
OK. If you ever need anything...tools, help or advice, just
let me know. See you around the condo.
I appreciate it, Francis! See you around the condo.
