Wyoming's Most Famous Attraction
(間欠泉が噴出した)
1. Wow!! That was a big one! Did you see that geyser?
No. I missed it. I was looking the other way.
2. I got a picture og the geyser... Here. Can you see
the water coming out of the geyser?
Yeah. That's a pretty good shot.
3. It might erupt again soon. So... Have you ever been
here before?
No. I've never been to Yellowstone Park before.
How about you?
4. It's my third trip here to Yellowstone Park. Are you
visiting from a state close by? Or are you visiting from
abroad?
Actually, I live in Japan. I'm on a journey across the U.S.
I just got to Wyoming a few days ago.
5. Oh, Japan! Do you have geysers like this one in Japan
too?
I think so. Japan has a few spot to see geysers.
6. Japan is famous for its hot springs, right?
Yes. Japan has thousands of hot springs. Actually, I love
hot springs. I go to the hot springs once a week.
7. Well, I'll go get a drink. Can I get you something
from the concession stand?
No, thanks. I have a water bottle and some tea already.
8. OK... See you soon...(席を外している間に噴出がある)
Oh, did the geyser erupt again while I was gone?!
Yeah. It just eruptex. It was pretty big.
I took a picture. Take a look.
Special Touch
water bottle
最近は水に限らず、自分の飲み物を入れるもの一般について、
water bottle で表現するようになってきた。
そのため、もし水筒を忘れたら、たとえ中身がお茶でも I forgot
my water bottke. のように使う。また、飲み物を買うかどうか
尋ねられたときは No thanks. I brought my water bottle.
(いいえ、結構です。自分の水筒を持ってきました)などと言えば
感じよく断ることができる。
