☆受動態は「be + 過去分詞」ではない!☆
昨日、英語ネイティブの書いた英文にこんなのを見つけました。
「This train is so crowded .. I’m sandwiched between 2 businessmen.」
Noun: Luxemburg('ラクセン,バ-グ)
Adjective; Person: Luxemburg('ラクセン,バ-グ)、a Luxemburger('ラクセン,バ-ガー)
※'の後にアクセント、,の後に第2アクセント
ルクセンブルグのことです。
【前回の英作文】
添削前:
My Piano Playing History (9)
When I was a junior high school student, I started to sing to my own piano accompaniment.
I used to sing some folk songs with piano, especially NAKAJIMA Miyuki's.
At first, I used piano scores that were on sale.
(I bought piano scores at shop.)
They were too expensive for a child.
So I learned various chords and arrangement for piano by myself not to need to selling scores.
This time I couldn't make sense of what I wanted to say. Forgive my English.
添削後:
I used to sing some folk songs WHILE PLAYING THE piano, especially NAKAJIMA Miyuki's.
At first, I used piano scores AVAILABLE FOR sale.
They were too expensive for a MERE child LIKE ME.
So I learned various chords and arrangementS for THE piano by myself SO THAT I WOULDN'T NEED TO BUY THESE PIANO SCORES.
This CULTIVATED my musical skills, but I should've learned it more systematically.
This time I couldn't PUT what I wanted to say IN WORDS. SORRY FOR my English.
わーい、めちゃくちゃな英文が、わかりやすい形になりました。
添削者に感謝です。
"available for sale"って、ちょっと出てこない表現ですね。
excitedは辞書には形容詞として載ってますが、ネイティブから見たらsandwichedも同じ感覚なのでしょうね。
