1.綱引きを見ましょう Let's watch the tug-of-war.

2.どの走者があなたのお孫さんですか？ Which runner is your grandchild?

3.今はどの走者がﾘｰﾄﾞしていますか？ Which runner is in the lead?

4.どのﾁｰﾑがﾘｰﾄﾞしていますか？ Which team is in the lead?

5.白組がﾘｰﾄﾞしています。20対30です。
　The white team is in the lead. It's 20 to 30.

6.同点です！ It's a tie!/It's tied!

7.運動会ではお昼に何を食べたいですか？
　What would you like to have for lunch at Sports Day?

8.運動会には父が特別なお弁当を作ってくれます
　My dad is going to make a special bento for Sports Day.

9.飲み物は何を持って行きますか？ What are you going to bring to drink?

10.お茶をどうぞ。麦茶です。Here's some tea. It's called “mugicha.”

11.玉入れは赤組が勝ちました！赤組に乾杯！
　The red team won the bean-bag toss. Here's to the red team!

3.ｽﾎﾟｰﾂにあまり興味はありません I'm not really into sports.

4.ｻｯｶｰや野球などのｽﾎﾟｰﾂには興味があります
　I'm into some sports like, soccer and baseball.

5.ﾌｨｷﾞｭｱｽｹｰﾄにはまっています　I'm so into figure skating.

6.ｽﾎﾟｰﾂは何でも大好きです I love all kinds of sports.

7.実は私は「ｽﾎﾟｰﾂ好き」ではないんです Actually, I'm not a “sports person.”

2.あのﾁｰﾑを応援しています。娘があのﾁｰﾑにいます。
　I'm rooting for that team. My daughter is on that team.

3.彼女が勝つのを期待しています。（勝つといいのですが） I hope she wins.

4.彼女に勝ってほしかったのですが。I wish she had won.

5.前半、後半 the first half, the second half

6.前半はもうすぐ終わりです。The first half is almost over.

7.今、ﾊｰﾌﾀｲﾑなので売店に行ってきます
　It's half time now, so I'm going to the concession stand.

8.後半がもうすぐ始まります。急ぎましょう。
　The second half starts soon. Let's hurry.

9.彼女がｺﾞｰﾙを決めました She scored a goal./She made a goal.

10.彼がﾎｰﾑﾗﾝを打ちました He hit a home run.

11.日本が勝ってﾌﾞﾗｼﾞﾙが負けました。Japan won and Brazil lost.
