When I was listening to the dialogue of TOEIC with CD last night, there was a passage where a woman explained "Lazy Susan" to a conversational partner.
"A Lazy Susan isn't a person. It's a cupboard in the kitchen that holds dishes, or canned food, or cups on a big, round, revolving set of shelves. With one push of your hand the shelves turn, and you can see everything you might need go spinning around."
