■the global norm「世界で一般的となっている状況、やり方」「世界的な標準」
■enrollは、ここでは「入学させる」です。学校に入れるときだけでなく、
　人を何かの会や講座に入れる（登録する）とき、軍に入れるときにも使います。
　昔の名簿は羊皮紙の巻物で作っていたので、
　「巻物（roll）に載せる」「名簿に載せる」という
　意味のenrollができたとも言われています。
■「報告書を発表する」と言うときは、
　　動詞にrelease、publicize、issueなどを使います。
　「報告書をまとめる（提出する）」と言うときには、
　　compile、wrap up、present、turn inなどの動詞を使います。
■academic yearは「学年度」です。これに対し、
　１月１日に始まり１２月３１日に終わ　る普通の１年をcalendar yearと言い、
　政府・　自治体の会計年度をfiscal year、企業の
　事業年度をbusiness yearなどと言います。
