Question:Why would Japanese postal workers have begun delivering New Year greeting cards?
According to this article,it is one of Japanese annual events.A ceremony,which mark the start of deliveries,was held at a post office in downtown Tokyo on Friday morning.

In fact,they hope that each card,which is filled with thoughtfulness,will deliver them safely.

However,the environment surrounding the postal service has greatly changed with the popularization of e-mail and social media.

As the result,the total of issuing postal cards in New Year have descended from nearly 4.4 billions to 2.4 billions since 2014.

Although,the communication minister noted that a well-crafted greeting card has something that cannot be conveyed by such media.
