Question:Why would Schoolchildren in Rwanda be getting help from Japan?
According to this article,it is said that many children in Rwanda are depend on School lunches amid the virus pandemic.

Furthermore, they have been deprived accessing to education.Especially, the impact is brutal in some Sub-Saharan countries in Africa.

However, the Machinaka Yumekobo bakery, which has become famous in the city, has donated part of its proceeds to an elementary school in the Rwandan capital,Kigali due to the bakery has linked with an African person Towari Marie, who fled the Rwandan genocide in the 1990s and found refuge in Japan.

Meanwhile, she believes that education is the key to achieve peace in her native country and poor families can dream about their future regardless of their background.

In fact,by the year 2001,she had the funds and opened the Umuco Mwiza School, where has offering places for about 400 children, but the government ordered a national lockdown that lasted months.

As the result,Many of them relied on school lunches to survive. Some resorted begging for food on the streets.

Although,The Fukushima resident Yoshinari Hirohaku, who had known an African person Towari Marie for years and volunteered with her to support Fukushima evacuees in the 2011 Fukushima Daiichi nuclear accident, launched a social media campaign to solicit donations and organized a video conference.

Fortunately, the campaign has raised about $18,000,which is able to implement the government-mandated anti-virus measures for the school such a hand-washing station.

Undoubtedly, the bond between the people of Rwanda and Japan would be deepen more and more through their devoted works.
