Question:Why would the Chinese government has imposed sanctions on 28 seniors?
According to this article,it is said that they having seriously disrupted China-US relations.

In fact,Chinese foreign ministry released a statement that former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and former White House advisors Peter Navarro and Robert O'Brien would be subjected to the sanctions.

As the statement says,"Some anti-China politicians in the United States, out of their selfish political interests and prejudice and hatred against China and showing no regards for the interests of the Chinese and American people," have "executed a series of crazy moves."

Furthermore,the statement also says those moves "have gravely interfered in China's internal affairs, undermined China's interests" and "seriously disrupted China-US relations."

As the result,their relatives will be prohibited from entering the mainland,Hong Kong and Macao of China.

Additionally,they and companies and institutions associated with them will also be restricted from doing business with China.
