おぼえた日記
I did "furusato nozei" this year, too. It is tax reduction program. When we donate to local municipality, our inhabitant tax is reduced the same amount except for 2,000 yen as a handling cost. So far, I donated to Tendo-city in Yamagata prefecture and Kamishihoro-town in Hokkaido prefecture. The above photo are returned gifts from Kamishihoro-town for my donation. They are premium soup curry and corned beef. They both are made in Kamishihoro-town and uses their famous cow "Tokachi-gyu". They were so yummy. I love them.
Recently, furusato-nozei is controversial in terms of tax reduction or strong competition of returned gift. Ministry of internal affairs have instructed to cut down to the price of return gift to some extent. I think it's a confusing problem. I want to donate to local municipality. For example, Kamishihoro-town is recovering from reducing population. My motto is "effort has never betrayed". If a local municipality takes an effort, it should get benefit.
Anyway, I hope furusato-nozei continues next year again.

First of all, I choose rice every year. Kinme-mai from Yamagata prefecture is so good and healthy.
When we do furusato-nozei, we can chose the way to use our donation. In addition, most local municipalities disclose the result of donation. Furusato-nozei is really opened tax program, I think.
