「The World of Haiku」

It’s been there for a long time.
Since the middle of the 20th century,haiku in English have often been taught in American schools.
Haiku have been popular in Europe for a long time,too.
The contest was very successful,so it has been held several times since then.

The first haiku written in English appeared more than a hundred years ago.
This haiku was written by a student called Oyu Shunsuke.
