S. C. Lesson 8: No-Excuses Living
1 A One idea that I think deserves wider support
is giving tax breaks to employers who provide
workplace amenities that encourage active commuting.
B That makes a whole lot of sense.
I'm with you all the way.
2 A I've had it up to here with lame excuses.
B Gee, you're not sugar-coating it, are you?
A You've got that right.
B You're already halfway there with your English.
B I realized that I was using my grudge against them
as an excuse not to make the effort.
3 A You said it. It's time to embrace the "no-excuses" lifestyle.
B It was like a light being turned on in my brain.
A As if your brain were switched over to a positive mode.
