J: The cherry blossoms are beautiful, are they?
Y: Yeah, you could say that again.
I'm glad the festival wasn't cancelled due to covid.
J: So, are you visiting Washington,D.C or do you live here?
Y: I'm visiting . I'm from Japan, so cherry blossoms are really special for me.
J: What did you first arrive in the US from Japan?
Y: About 11 months ago. It's been almost a year.
J: What is your favorite thing about the US?
Y: I love the people.
Everyone has been so nice.
And each state has its own flavor.
It's so fun to the diffrences.
J: Do you miss Japan?
Y: I'm a little homesick but I love traveling as I look at these cherry blossoms
I'm lucky to traveling now.
J: Oh, hey, I learned how to play a Japanese song.
It's called Skura. Do you know that song?
Y: Of course in Japan everyone knows that song.
It's taught in most elementary schools.
J: Oh, I gotta go on stage.
