In a business meeting yesterday, my attention was totally distracted with a lot of his long え～s. When the man spoke to us, he put え～ whenever he broke his sentences up. On top of that, my poor attention span made things worse. I started to count how many e~ he said and missed half of his speech.

Speaking of which, IOC president's speech in the Olympic ceremony was one of the worst speeches I'd ever had. His meaninglessly lo~ng speech was full of flat rhetoric that didn't resonate with me. I changed the TV channel, but whenever I came back, he was still speaking there. Lesson: I try to keep it in mind ‘make my speech short and precise’.
