I went to the Japanese class for the foreign children yesterday. I was absent from it two weeks ago. Because I went to Osaka and took an induction course of the Japanese education for foreigners.
One of the volunteer teachers said to me, “One Philippine girl wrote a message for you on the blackboard when you were absent from it.” She is in the second grade of elementary school and studies Japanese hard. “What did she write?” I asked. “ Kyo ha ○○sensei ha yasumi desu. Minna issho kenmei ni benkyo simasho.” I was so moved to hear that. We can’t see good results among them soon. The results of education are in the future. We always are patient to them. But they know that we are serious and thoughtful to them.
Their little words encourage us and make us walk forward. They, children are our important treasures for us as Mother Teresa says.
