I went to see Showa Shinzan.
Showa Shinzan is a volcano
in Sobetsu Town, Hokkaido
that has been designated as
a special natural monument
of the country! It was
created by volcanic activity
that began in 1943. What
used to be a flat wheat field
has transformed into its
current appearance in about
two years! The volcano is
still active, and the sight of
smoke rising from the rock
snrface is so impressive
that you caan experience the
energy of the earth!
