☆factor in… …を計算［考慮］に入れる(take … into account) …を織り込む
　どのくらいの費用がかかるのか考慮しなかった。
　I didn't factor in [take into account] how expensive it would be.
　●名詞のfactor in … …の要因
　　それを買うかどうかの要素は値段ではなかった。
　　Price wasn't a factor in my decision to buy it.
　　1人暮らしが増えているもう一つの要因は、臨時労働者、つまり、一時雇用やパートタイムの従業員が大幅に増えているということです。

　なぜ、だれもが突然、彼を非難することに躍起になったのでしょうか？
　Why was everyone suddenly falling all over themselves to condemn him?

☆fall for… …にだまされる、引っ掛かる、…に夢中になる、…を好きになる
　だまされないぞ！
　I’m not falling for that.
　そのようなペテンに引っ掛かることは、金銭的な破綻を意味しかねません。
　Falling for cons like that could spell financial disaster.
　うーん、彼は君に恋してるんだと思う。
　Well, I think he’s falling for you.

☆fall victim [prey] to … …の犠牲［餌食］になる
　彼は投資詐欺の犠牲になった。
　He fell victim to investment flaw.
　泥棒や詐欺師がいつも観光客をだまし取ろうとしているから一人旅は危険です。彼らに気をつけて、絶対に彼らの餌食にならないようにしてください。
　Traveling solo can be risky as thieves and con artists are always searching for tourists to rip off. Watch out for them and make sure you don't fall victim to them.
　彼は15歳のとき、無料航空券に釣られ、交換留学生として来日するはめになった。
　He fell victim to an exchange programmer after being baited with a free air ticket at age 15.

☆feel dozy 眠い
　残念ながら、けさは少々眠いのです。
　I’m afraid I feel rather dozy this morning.
　●dozy[dóuzi]は形容詞 眠い、まぬけな(stupid)、ぐうたらな(lazy)《木が》腐った
　●動詞はdoze [dóuz] うたた寝する、居眠りする
　最初は居眠りするのではないかと思いましたが、なんと目からうろこだった。
　At first, I thought I might doze off but what an eye-opener.

☆fiddle around [about] のらくらして暇をつぶす、だらだらと時を過ごす
　台所でだらだらしています。
　I'm fiddling around in the kitchen.

☆fiddle around with…　…をいじくる(fumble with…)、…を改ざんする(doctor)
　会社が帳簿を改ざんするというとき、別な言葉でいえば、不正な経理操作を行った、ということである。しかし、マスゾエの第三者弁護団の観点から見ると、修理をする、調整する、改善しようと試みる、修繕するという意味にもなる。
