A little girl playing in the park
happened to look up and saw Drippy,
and it looked as thought a tear had fallen
from the eye of the saint. The little
girl's mouth fell open in amazement.
"Look mother! The statue is crying."
"Don't be silly. Statues can't cry."
"But it is!"
"That's ridiculous,"her mother scolded.
And she looked up and her mouth fell
open. The statue did seem to be crying.
She called her husband over. "Henry, I
think the statue of the saint is crying."
Her husband said, "Really, Martha,
don't be so silly. Statues can't cry."
And he looked up and his mouth fell
open. "That statue is crying! It's a
miracle!"
