品川浦に迷い込んだ鯨の供養碑、徳川家斉も上覧された。

　A priest was sent for. Now the priest
was a very holy man, and he believed in
God, but he had never seen a miracle .
When he was told that a miracle was
happening in the town square, he said,
"You must be mistaken. Miracles don't
happen in this day and age." But the
woman who told him insisted that it was
a miracle, so the priest finally decided he
had better look into it.
