US President Donald Trump announced via twitter that he will leave the hospital on Monday evening. The president was assured by his doctors that he had recovered enough to do so.
Trump on Monday tweeted, "I will be leaving the great Walter Reed Medical Center today at 6:30 P.M." He spent four days at the center for COVID -19 treatment.
The doctors told reporters that Trump has not had a fever for 72 hours and his oxygen levels were normal.
They said Trump "may not entirely be out the woods yet", but all their evaluations "support the president's safe return home."
The doctors added that his condition will be closely monitored around the clock at the White House.
