ノーベル平和賞のマララさんの受賞演説が新聞に載っていました。（抜粋）

Thank you to everyone for your continued support and love.
Thank you to my father for not clipping my wings and for letting me fly.
Thank you to my mother for inspiring me to be patient and to always speak
the truth.

This award is not just for me.
It is for those voiceless children who want change.

I had two options, one was to remain silent and wait to be killed.
And the second was to speak up and then be killed.
I chose the second one.
I decided to speak up.

Let this be the last time that a boy or a girl spends their childhood
in a factory.
Let this be the last time that a girl gets forced into early child marriage.
Let this be the last time that an innocent child loses their life in war.
Let us begin this ending.
Let this end with us.


私でも辞書なしで読めるくらいの易しい単語で語られているけれど、
伝わってくるmessageはとても力強いですね。
