-It’s overcast today. Should we take an umbrella ?
-No need. It looks like the sun is trying to come out.
-I felt a raindrop.
-I’ll check the weather. It says scattered showers for almost of the day.
-It’s starting to drizzle. We should’ve brought an umbrella.
-Now the sun is out !
-I see a double rainbow.
-I don’t believe it !
*overcast (adj.) : どんよりした new way of saying of ‘cloudy’

The sky is overcast.
*scattered (adj.) shower : ところによりにわか雨
*scatter (v.T) : throw in various directions
Clothes are scattered about the room.
