❷evil (悪、悪事　）

この本は、善と悪の戦いの物語です。




❸good faith (誠意、誠実　）★in good faith 誠意をもって
We're going to work in good faith to rebuild this community.
私たちは、誠意を持ってこのコミュニティーを再建する取り組みを行います。





❹abuse (悪用する、虐待する　）ab-「～から離れて」use 「使う」
When politicians get too much power, they tend to abuse it.
政治家が過大な権力を握るとそれを乱用する傾向がある。

--👹節分 The bean-throwing ceremony

People throw some beans to drive out bad luck and bring in good luck.
家の中で豆をまいて悪い運をはらい、よい運を招きます。
In the past, we started to eat long rolled sushi.
It's becoming popular to eat.
In some of places of Japan, they don't speak until they are finished eating.

You can use my stapler. It's in my top desk drawer.
僕のホチキス使っていいよ。上の引き出しに入っている。





❷TV personality (テレビタレント　）
I hardly know any of the TV personalities on variety shows.
バラエティ番組に出ているタレントを、ほとんど知らない。




❸corn dog (アメリカンドッグ　）
◎生地にトウモロコシの粉が使われているため、corn dog という。
Do you want mustard on your corn dog?
アメリカンドッグにマスタード、いる？





❹hoodie (パーカー　）
◎hood (フード、頭巾）に、ニックネーム化するパーツ　-ie がついたもの。
I wrote the same hoodie every day during spring break.
春休みの間、毎日同じパーカーを着ていた。
