The head of the World Health Organization says the agency is continuing to help India cope with a surge in coronavirus patients.
WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyes said at a regular briefing on Monday that the agency has been providing medical oxygen equipment and mobile field hospitals to India.
He said the WHO is also offering advice on home care for patients who cannot be hospitalized.
Tedros repeated calls on countries to take through anti-virus measures, saying a resurgence of the virus can happen anywhere.
Tedros also a contact has been signed with Moderna to provide 500 million doses of the drug firm's vaccine through the COVAX vaccine-sharing platform led by the agency.
Supply of the AstraZeneca vaccine, which is produced in India, has been delayed. Tedros said, " we continue to face sever supply constraints" of vaccines.
