Paul Pearson: I'd like all of you to join me in welcoming back Bill Nisssen. As you know, Bill used to work with us in his previous life. He's decided to return to his old nest, and is bringing with him the experience and know-how he's gained in working for a major department store chain. Bill already knows the lay of the land at A&A and can get back up to speed quickly. I'm very excited that Bill has decided to return, and I'm confident he'll be a valuable asset to us as he was before. So without further ado, here's Bill the boomeranger.
Bill Nissen: Thank you for your kind words, Paul. First, let me say how grateful I am to A&A for embracing a prodigal son. I've seen the other side of the fence, and I have to say the grass wasn't always greener there. Although boomerangers are on the rise these days, most companies don't have a strategy for encouraging their return. It would have been hard for me to come back to A&A if the company didn't have a clear policy.
Lidia Grace: If I can interject, I agree we'll be seeing more boomerang employees in the years to come. It's becoming increasingly common for people to have a "free agent" mentality and not stay at one job for a long time. And there's now far less of a stigma attached to bringing former employees back to the company fold.
