Living With Covid-19 (3)

Despite the hopes of many employers, a full-time return to office-based work looks pretty unlikely right now. Pre-pandemic work structures are likely to become a thing of the past. People will keep working remotely as technology improves and workers become better at using it. Hybrid work is here to stay in one form or another.
If we have to coexist with Covid-19 indefinitely, the entertainment, sports, education, hotel and transportation sectors will have to rethink how they operate. Not to mention the retail and health care industries.
2021 was the year of the Great Resignation, as workers quite their jobs ta unprecedented rates. I’ve read that almost 25% of American workers plan to quite this year.
Yes and yes. People are simply fed up with their current jobs. They want something better. Record numbers of Americans are quitting due to the strong economy and the labor shortage. Many workers feel confident about finding another job.
There are lots of reasons people quit their jobs. But they’ve certainly made their point: Employees want more. They want more paid time off, better pay, more comprehensive health care and fairer work schedules. This has forced business leaders to reevaluate the perks and benefits they offer.
