【英会話タイムトライアル】
ノラ：あら、まぁ、このラグビーの試合はおもしろいわね。
ケン：ええ、そうですね。
ノラ：ドキドキだわ。それで、飲み物は何にします？
ケン：アイスティーをいただきます。
ノラ：さあどうぞ。どちらのチームを応援しているの？
ケン：日本です。で、あなたはウェールズを？
ノラ：そうね、私はアイルランド人だけど、今日はウェールズを応援してるわ。日本のラグビーチームで一番推してる選手は誰？
ケン：マルナカです。７番の。きっといい試合をしてくれます。
ノラ：ああ、ウェールズの選手がボールを落としちゃった。それで負けたわ。なんてミスなの。あの選手がかわいそう。泣いてるわ。かわいそうよね。
ケン：ええ、そう思います。チームメイトが励ましてくれるといいな。
ノラ：日本とウェールズは良いプレーをしたわ。ところで、私はノラよ。
ケン：どうも、ノラ。ぼくはケンです。
ノラ：このクルーズ船で働き始めたばかりなの。丸４か月この船に居る予定よ。まだ実感が湧かないんだけど。これまでのところ、このクルーズ船はどう？
ケン：これまでのところ、楽しんでいますよ。それと、英語の練習をいっぱいしています。最初に停泊するカーディフで鯨を見るのが楽しみです。
N: Oh, wow, this rugby match is exciting, isn't it?
S: Yeah, it is.
N: I'm on the edge of my seat. So, what would you like to drink?
S: I'll have an iced tea.
N: Here you are. Which team are you rooting for?
S: Japan. And are you rooting for Wales?
N: Well, I'm Irish. But I'm rooting for Wales today. Who is your favorite player on the Japan rugby team?
S: Marunaka, number 7. I really hope he has a good match.
N: Oh, the Wales player dropped the ball. And they lost. What a mistake. I feel sorry for that player. He's crying. Don't you feel sorry for him?
S: I feel sorry for him, too. I hope his team mates cheer him up.
N: Japan and Wales played a good game. By the way, I'm Nora.
S: Hi, Nora. I'm Ken.
N: I just started working on this cruise ship. I'll be on board for four whole months. That has't sunk in yet. How do you like the cruise ship so far?
S: I've been enjoying so far. And I've been practicing English a lot. It's a once in a life time experience. And I'm excited to see whales on our first stop in Cardiff.
