夏目漱石像(終の棲家跡)
ーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーー
As we walked along the road to the Yamanaka Hot Springs,we
could see over our shoulders the peak of Shirane. To our left,at the
foot of a mountain, there was a temple dedicated to Kannon.Long
ago, when the cloistered emperor Kazan completed his pilgrimage
to the Thirty-Three Temples of Kannon,he installed here a stature of the All-Compassionate,All-Merciful Kannon, and bestowed on the
temple the name Nata, combinging the na of Nachi and the ta of
Tanigumi.A row of ancient pines grows upon the curious rocks of
various shapes, and a little rush-covered building stands atop a great boulder. It is place of marvellous beauty.
