"I saw Drippy," the humming bird told
Mrs.Dewdrop.
"Oh,thank you. Where is he now?"
"I saw the wind take him away."
Mrs. Dewdrop hurried to find the
wind. "Where is he?"
"I put him down in a field of corn."
So Mrs. Dewdrop hurried to the field
of corn,and she saw the two beautiful
butterflies.
"Has anyone seen Drippy?" Mrs.
Dewdrop asked.
"we were playing with him. But he
fell down and went into the ocean.
That's the last we saw of him."
And Mrs. Dewdrop was heartbroken.
Her little son was lost in an ocean of
water. By now the waves had probably
carried him to some other part of the
world. Mrs.Dewdrop wept because she
thought she would never see her son
again.
