A third Australian state has imposed a lockdown in an attemt to mansge the spread of the highly transmissible Delta variant ot the coronavirus.
The state of South Australia announced it entered a 7-day lockdown on Tuesday after finding 5 COVID-19 infections. All cases are linked and believed to be of the Delta strain.
A lockdown in the southeastern state of Victoria was due to end on Tuesday night, but authorities have decided to extend it by a week because of the Delta variant otbreak .
