今日は小学校区内の運動会だった。
自分の町内だけでなくほかの町内ともチームを組むので、昨日から準備が大変だった。
とてもいいお天気なのはありがたかったのだが、日差しが厳しくへとへとになってしまった。
だが、参加してくれた人たちは結構楽しんでくれていたようで、よかった。
Today was the elementary school district's field day.
Since we had to form teams not only from our own neighborhood but also from other neighborhoods, preparations for the event were very hard from yesterday.
We were thankful for the beautiful weather, but the sun was very strong and we were exhausted.
However, I am happy to report that the participants seemed to have enjoyed the event quite a bit.
