Tokyo confirms 239 new cases on Sunday -NHK WORLD-JAPAN - 15 hours ago

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government says it confirmed 239 new cases of coronavirus infection on Sunday.


This brings the total number of infections in the Japanese capital to 115,409.

The seven-day average daily case count through Sunday stands at 279.1.


That's up 9.8 percent from the week before.

Tokyo officials say 41 people are in serious condition, up one fro Saturday.
