A Weak-Hearted Person:
Daughter:“Dad, I’m planning to study abroad for at least three years. Are you OK with that?”
Father:“What? Did you just say something? Sorry, I was absent-minded and wasn’t listening. At least three years? You mean to stay in London for more than three years? I must make an excuse to the bank for requesting a further loan. I’m weak-hearted, you know.”
Daughter:“You’ll do well. You’re second to none when it comes to making an excuse.”
Father:“So are you! Anyway, I’ll manage it somehow.”
Putting my thinking cap, my sons may well complain to her.
Or I may be just indulgent with my daughter.
