Why Do You Study English?(2)
Second, I made my mind to study English to prevent dementia.
As a general rule, the older we grow, the weaker our memory becomes. I couldn't agree about it more. To be sure, I came to have a bad memory recently. Actually, a few years ago, I felt like I was stuck in a rut and my life was absurdly boring.
One day, I thought I would try something new on a trial basis. I got an idea on a whim and decided to begin studying English. According to a certain article, people who speak two languages tend to have less risk of having age-related dementia than those who speak just one language. If you like learning English, it will definitely work. My memory is not what it used to be, but I'll never give up.
