Why Do You Study English?(3)
Third, my daughter decided to study abroad.
My daughter left high school half-way and struggled to study at home all by herself. She entered university in the long run. She is an extremely hard worker. What’s more, she is the most stubborn member in my family. She sticks to anything she decided. She got interested in the U.K. and she made up her mind to study abroad in London.
Even if I’m against that, she never listens to me. Eventually I have no choice but to agree with her. In short, even if the sun were to rise in the west, she would not change her mind. As a matter of fact, she studied abroad in London since last autumn.
Now, I expect her to make the most of this opportunity and study hard to her heart’s content.
However, if she gets in trouble or in case of an emergency, I might have to go there for her. So, I need to prepare for that and I decided to start studying English. That’s why I’ve been trying to study English as far as I could. Anyway, the best reason to study English is to be helpful for my daughter when it comes to the crunch. Moreover, she has a plan to study abroad for at least three years. So, I can’t rule out the possibility that she will get married to someone, a native English speaker living there. I also need to prepare for that.
The biggest reason to study English is all for my daughter.
