Gon, the Fox
以前に遠山顕先生のラジオ英会話からメモしていた新見南吉の「ごんぎつね」
の続きを書いていきます。
Hyoju was working in front of his house.
Hyoju was poor, but when his mother was alive, he was always happy.
Now she was dead, and he was all alone.
“Hyouju is all alone,” thought Gon. “Just like me.”
Gon was watching Hyoju from the back of the house.
Just then, a voice cried out,
“Fresh fish here! Get your fresh fish here!”
It was the voice of a fish seller. Gon went to see.
There he saw Yasuke's wife.
“Give me three of those fish,” she said.
The fish seller picked out the fish and took them
into Yasuke's house.
While the man was gone, Gon took some fish and run off with them.
He left the fish in Hyoju's house and went back to his hole.
When he looked back, he could still see Hyoju in front of his house..
Hyoju looked very small and far away.
“I did a good thing,” Gon thought.”
“Now I feel a little better about taking the eel.”

エアコンは寝ている間はつけていますが、朝になり現在は消しています。しかし、湿度計を見ると100％に近くなっています。除湿機能でつけ直さないといけません。
英語版で読むと2倍お得かもしれません。
愛する人を助けたい一心で行ったゴンの行動でしたが、ちょっと寂しい結末でしたね。
思い出しました。
子供の頃にも読んだ記憶があります。
