J; 飛行機に遅れたらどうなるかな？
　What if we miss our flight ?
M; まだ時間に余裕があるわ。
　We still have time to spare.
J; この先で事故があったんだ。ついてないなあ！
　There’s an accident up ahead. Just our luck !
M; 迂回できるかもしれないわ。
　Maybe we can take a detour.
J; 車がぜんぜん進まない、どうしよう？　　　　　　　　※ 交通渋滞　 traffic congestion
　The traffic isn’t moving at all ! 　Now what ?

A: 4番ゲートです。
　　Your flight is leaving from gate number four.
あと15分、出発を待つようです。
　　They will hold the flight another 15 minutes.
P : 間に合いそうもないわ。

A: 時間はありますよ。　　　←　余裕があるとか、つぶすとかでなく、「普通に」時間はある

T; Good memories?
J; Every summer, during summer vacation, when school was out, our family would either go to California and go to the beach, see the ocean or we would go the opposite direction and go to Yellow Stone National Park.
K&T; Right.
J; We were living in Utah at the time.
T; Okay.
J; Kind of right in the middle, so going either direction was about the same distance.
T; I see.
K; Very nice.
T; Katie, how about you?
K; Yes, you know we would either go to Disneyland or Montana. Those were our trips and actually I grew up in California but in Junior high school at my first year of high school lived up in state New York and we still went to Disneyworld or Montana. We didn’t change our pattern. Just…
T; I see. That’s interesting.
K; How about you, Ken?
J; Where did your family go?
T; We were not very good at family trips. So we always made a fall start and ...　like the Doe Family.
J; Did you go to Kyoto or …?
T; We went to a nearby park or ...
J; Nearby park, okay.
K; Excellent!
T; and trips somewhere I don’t remember. We have some fond memories. Let you know some time.
J; That was a fun detour.
