◇While Reading 前
空所に、文脈を考えながら Before Reading で学習した単語をいれなさい。

Some people hide in their house every time there is a ( ).
Others get goose bumps just thinking of spiders, snakes,
or even a clown at a child’s birthday party.
Millions of people are terrified of ordinary things.
These people have phobias which can make their lives very difficult.
Why are some people affectedly by phobias while others are not;
and can they be helped?
Fear is useful to protect us, but people with phobias are danger.

Their fear is so bad that it stops them from enjoying their lives fully.
For instance, someone who is claustrophobic has an unnatural fear of small or tight spaces.
They might have difficulty taking as elevator or being in a ( ) space
like a subway.
Other common phobias are mysophobia (fear of germs),
aviophobia (fear of flying), and acrophobia (fear of ( )).
These phobias can severely affect someone’s life.

庭園への植栽文化、今も昔も，四季折々の花を愛でたい気持ちは
同じですね。
以前習っていた英語の先生がacrohobiaだったので、英語を習いたての頃に覚えました。
あの頃は毎日いくつの単語を覚えたのか、とにかく興味を持つことが大切ですね。
教室に通うそのものが、興味の表れです。
私は今はコーラスだけになりました。
音楽は楽しんで覚えられます。
