I made plum liqueur. I made only one bottle so as not to drink too much. Every year I try to preserve at least one year. But I can't wait and open the bottle in winter. I promise to wait until next June this year. It'll be mild.

By the way, I keep
two bottles unopened. One is for my son's twentieth birthday, which I preserved when he was 15 years old. And the other is for my daughter, which I'll open when she gets a job. I'm looking forward to drinking those plum liqueur with them.

I also made plum juice for my children. I usually make it with honey. But according to my son's advice, I added rock candy instead of honey this year. He said that the melting speed of the rock candy is more suitable than that of honey from a chemical point of view. He likes chemistry very much and always says that
chemistry has much to do with our daily lives. Though he dislike study most of the subject, he wants to study chemistry further.

梅酒を作った。　飲みすぎないように一瓶だけ。　毎年せめて一年は漬けようと思う。　でも待てなくって、冬には開けてしまう。　今年こそは来年の６月まで待とう。　まろやかな味になるわ。

そういえば、まだ開けてない梅酒が二瓶ある。　ひとつは息子の二十歳の誕生日のためのもので、１５歳のときに漬けた。　もうひとつは、娘の就職が決まったら飲むためのもの。　早くその日が来ないかな～。　

子供たちのために、梅ジュースも作った。　たいてい、はちみつでつくる。　でも今年は息子のアドバイスに従って、はちみつの代わりに氷砂糖で作った。　息子が言うには、化学的な見地から考えると氷砂糖の溶ける速さがはちみつよりも適しているらしい。　化学が好きで、化学は日常生活に大いに関係しているといつも言っている。　勉強が嫌いだけど、化学だけはもっと勉強したいそうだ。
