①習慣を表す現在形
毎年この時期になると、たくさんの新入生がこの町にやってきます。
Every year at this time, many new students come to our town.
This time of year（一年のうちのこの時期）という言い方もできる。come と現在形が使われていることに注意。現在形は現在を含む広く安定した状況を表す。常に繰り返される習慣を意味する時表現。
②目的を表す to 不定詞
彼らを歓迎するために何かするべきです。
We should do something to welcome them.
to のイメージは「矢印」で単に指し示している。to 不定詞の意味は文脈に依存する。この文では something に対して、その目的 welcome them を説明している。他にも原因、結果、判断の根拠など様々な説明で使われる。
◾︎ 同意の定型表現② 強い同意
大賛成です。
I couldn't agree more.
このフレーズは couldn't agree と否定文になっているため、とっさには賛成なのか反対なのか判断しづらいかもしれない。このフレーズが「大賛成」になる理由は couldn't ~ more にある。can の過去形 could は「できるだろうなぁ」と、過去ではなく can の婉曲表現として使われ、couldn't で「できないだろうなぁ」となる。agree more（もっと＝さらに、同意する）と結びつけば「これ以上は賛成できないだろうなぁ＝大賛成」となる。
完全に同意します。
I completely / totally agree.
（※ agreeの前に置く方が好まれる。）

深い共感を表すフレーズ。that の部分を強調したアクセントにすること。ポジティブな表現にも使える。

take an exam でも問題ないが、一般的な試験（ドライビングテストなど）を含むのは test 。exam は、どちらかというと学校の試験というニュアンス。
