In February, an unparalleled Japanese conductor Ozawa Seiji died at the age of 88. He was famous for his thorough preparation. As the groundwork for conducting one of the top orchestras in the world, he always put the entire nearly hour-long pieces in his head. Previously, he conducted with his eyes on the score, but that didn't keep his attention on the performers. He was also known for taking pride in being a perfectionist who rehearsed meticulously without compromise.
