Shopping in Copenhagen
Yesterday my husband and I went to Copenhagen from where were are staying at the moment. We had to take a bus and train to get there. The bus was only 10 minutes ride and 40 minutes on train. As this was our first time to use public transport, we were a little nervous. We had to ask several people where to get the ticket or how we use it. Once we got on the train it was very good as unlike driving, both of us can relax looking outside the windows and enjoy the scenery.
We got off the train in the centre of Copenhagen and started walking. This was not our first time to visit here, we came here 8 years ago together. As I was walking I could remember the atmosphere of this city. It is very vibrant and elegant. It is not so big which is good for the tourists.
One of the characters we heard a lot about North Europe was high prices. My husband and I had a cup of latte (in a paper cup) and a danish pastry each in a cafe near the station. It cost us almost $40! They were very nice but expensive.
We went to a big shop in Copenhagen which sells Royal Copenhagen products. It was a very nice shop selling all sorts of kitchen related things. Some of the Royal Copenhagen porcelain products are very nice but expensive, too. The other day we happened to find a local artist’s work called Bjorn Wiinblad so we decided to buy some of his egg cups. We were very happy to get them in the Royal Copenhagen shop.
