マヤ：まぁ、何かとてもいい匂いがするわ。
ダグ：シホが夕食にゴーヤーチャンプルーを作っているんだ。
マヤ：それって何？
ダグ：豆腐と豚肉と、ゴーヤーという苦味のある瓜の料理だよ。
マヤ：おもしろそうね。
ダグ：実は、シホは好きじゃないんだ。でもぼくの大好物だから、君に食べてみて欲しかったんだ。
マヤ：シホはきっと料理が好きなのね。
ダグ：うん、そうなんだ。そうだ、夕食の後で、夜空の天の川を観に行こう。
マヤ：それが観られるの？私は夜空の星を眺めるのは好きよ。
ダグ：きっとびっくりするよ。

Maya: Wow, something smells really good.
Doug: Shiho is making Goya Chanpuru for dinner.
Maya: What's that?
Doug: It's tofu, pork and bitter melon called goya.
Maya: Sounds interesting.
Doug: Shiho doesn't like it, actually. But it's my favorite. So, I wanted you to try it.
Maya: She must like cooking.
Doug: Yes, she does. Oh, and after dinner, let's go see the milky-way in the sky.
Maya: We can see it? I like to look at the stars at night.
Doug: You'll be amazed.
