◎つぶやき：3日連続で畑に出向く。昨日は、どんと焼き会場になる休耕地の草刈り。もう既に集落長に3回ほど除草剤を散布してもらっているが、それでもかなりの伸び具合。母親の畑なので自分も草刈りの労を取っている。とても1日では終わりそうもないので、あと4回くらいは通いそう。やっと、重い腰が上がる。
しかし、今日と明日は1泊2日の民生委員の研修旅行。今回初参加。全員参加するのかと思いきや、44名中23名しか参加しない。研修旅行なのでそれなりのところに寄るが、基本は懇親旅行である。やり手のいない民生委員をこのような慰安イベントでつなぎとめておこうという企画の観がする。宿泊先は福島県いわき市の「母畑温泉」(画像)。何と読むのかと調べたら、「ぼばた」と読むそうだ。
