太陽がでてこようとしていたので、私たちは今朝、傘を持たずに出ました。ところがそのあとポツンときました。
We didn’t take an umbrella this morning because the sun was trying to come out. But then we felt a raindrop.

英語で表現してみよう
ある日の放課後、ケンがダンスの練習をしているのを見かけました。
とてもかっこよく、今では彼のことを天才と呼んでいます。
One day after school, I saw Ken practice dancing.
He looked amazing, so now I call him a genius.

　　Mother’s Day
　Mother’s Day originally came to Japan from the United Sates. However, it was first celebrated in Japan in March, on the birthday of Empress Kojun. This was in the 1930s. During the Second World War, Mother’s Day was stopped. But after war in returned. It was moved to the second Sunday of May, the same as most other countries. Lots of people buy or make their mother a card. Many people also give their mom red or pink carnations. And if you’re an adult and don’t live close to your mother, you should give her a call!
