毎月第一日曜日、毎月第2土曜日などに応用できるフレーズ。
× Joining the ice hockey team taught me discipline but also cost me two broken arms.
costは金額だけでなく物にも使える。
cost + 人 + ～で「人に～を失わせる、犠牲を払わせる」
○ It is important to visit the dentist at least once a year.
歯科検診に行かなきゃ。眼底検査もそろそろだ。病院行くのはおっくう...。
