A huge number of bank accounts have seen no deposits or withdrawals for 10 years or longer.
[解説]「預け入れ」はdeposit.「引き出し」はwithdrawalです。depositは、語源を見ると、頭のde-はdownと言う意味です。次にpositの部分はposition（場所）といった意味です。つまりdepositは「下の場所に置くこと」と言った意味になります。お金を銀行に持って行って窓口で「下に置くこと」がdeposit、つまり「預け入れ、預金」です。預金の「引き出し」withdrawalは、預けていたお金を「引き出す（withdraw）こと」という意味です。
③「10年間以上」は何と言う？
　for more than 10 years(2行目)　（10年を超える間）
　for 10 years or longer(7行目) 　(10年またはそれより長い間)
　for more than a decade(15行目)（10年間を超える間）
[解説]「10年間以上」にはいくつかの言い方があり、現代英語の世界では、どれも正解と言えるでしょう。ちなみに、for more than 10 years (10年を超える間)という表現は、
11年以上という意味ではありません。10年を経過した、その瞬間を超えてという意味ですので、実際上「10年間以上」という意味です。

サラは自分の世界が毎日広がっていると言います。モニカはサラに言います。「故郷のことは忘れちゃダメよ」。いいですね、モニカ！私たちは決して自分の故郷を忘れてはいけません！
Sarah says her world is getting bigger every day. Monica tells Sarah, “ Please don’t forget your hometown.” Good job, Monica! We must never forget our hometowns!

サラは両親に電話します。サラのお父さんは「ふるさとを忘れないで」と言います。すばらしいアドバイスですね・・・でも待ってください！わたしのふるさとはどこ？
Sarah calls her parents. Sarah’s dad says, “ Never forget your hometown.” That’s a great advice. ….but wait ! Where is my hometown?
