Though I'm now on vacation, I went to my office today. A Wax Day! It's our annual event during the summer holiday. And who did it? My math teacher and I. Well, I know him since he was a junior high student. To make a long story short, he has been doing a part-time job to wax the floor a few times a year, since he was a senior high student. As my boss doesn't want to come to the office on holiday, he always asks me to take care of the boy to clean our office. Though I'm not paid for this job, it's my pleasure.
We started at 10 o'clock. First we scraped all the wax and then we brushed and wiped the floor. Then. we waxed the floor twice. It took a long time and we finished it at 9 p.m. Seeing the floor shining, we were completely satisfied with our job.
I'm happy to think that everyone will be comfortable in the clean office. And I'm also happy that such a naughty boy has grown up to do a decent job.
Oh, I've already had muscular aches around my arms and back!
夏休みなのに、会社へ行った。 ワックスがけの日！ 夏休み中の恒例行事だ。 誰がやったの？ 私と私の数学の先生。 中学生の頃から、私はあのコを知っている。 長い話を短くすると、高校生の時からウチの会社で年に２，３回ワックスがけのバイトをしている。上司は休み中自分が来たくないものだから、いつも私に面倒を見てやってくれと頼む。無給だけど楽しいから構わない。
朝の１０時から始めた。 まずワックスを全部剥して、それから床をブラシでゴシゴシやって水拭きする。 それから、ワックスを二度塗りするのだ。 けっこう時間がかかって、９時頃終わった。床がピカピカなのを見て、私達は大満足・
みんながきれいな職場で仕事ができると思うと嬉しい。 そして、ヤンチャ坊主だったコが、大人になってちゃんとした仕事をするようになったのも、嬉しい。

I overslept today until 7 o'clock and a had a nap for an hour, which i didn't intended to. But it's good to take a rest for a while.
